Privacy

How guest information is handled.

Privacy information for enquiries, bookings and the separate pre-check-in guest portal.

Booking and enquiry information

When you enquire or make a booking, the service may collect your name, email address, phone number, requested dates, guest count and any message you provide about the stay.

Pre-check-in information

For confirmed website or offline bookings, Mercy may send a private guest link to collect arrival information, nationality, guest numbers and an identification image for identity verification. The guest portal is separate from the public website and is excluded from search indexing.

Identification privacy

The guest portal allows you to redact sensitive ID-number digits before upload. When the selected image can be previewed, the original stays on your device and only the processed copy is uploaded. For a valid image format that the guest's browser cannot preview, the portal may instead upload the selected original-format copy securely and clearly indicates that redaction is unavailable for that fallback. The system asks only for the last four digits as an optional reference rather than requiring the complete ID number in a form. If a guest cannot complete the upload, an authorised Mercy administrator may upload the identification image on the guest’s behalf through the protected admin record. The same access restrictions and retention schedule apply.

30-day ID-image retention

Uploaded identification images are scheduled for deletion 30 days after checkout, together with the stored last-four-digits reference.

Why information is used

Information is used to respond to enquiries, manage reservations, prepare for arrival, support guests, maintain stay and folio records, and respond to legitimate booking or payment questions.

Storage and service providers

The website uses Firebase services to operate the application, store booking and guest-operation records and manage private identification files. Direct browser access to the storage bucket is blocked; identification files are accessed only through protected server routes.

Analytics and advertising measurement

On the public website, optional analytics and advertising measurement are controlled through the privacy preferences banner. When permitted, Google Analytics and the Google tag may measure property views, booking interactions, WhatsApp enquiries, phone clicks and configured advertising conversions. Optional storage is denied until a visitor makes a choice.

Cookie choices

Your privacy preference is stored on your device so the website can remember it. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Read the Cookie Policy for more detail.
